- [camera whirs] [pictures flicking] - Oh, this one's coming together really good. - How do we put these on Instagram? [80's music plays] [radio static] - Hello. - Hello? - [Robotic Voice] Welcome to the 1980's. Allow me to show you some of the most advanced technology of the time. [radio static] - Sure. [radio static] - Can you identify this gadget? [radio static] - Three, two. - Two, one. - One. - Um... - What the... - Color 600 film. Um, what's that? - This is... a camera? - Oh, I think it's one of those... Camera thingy. - Cameras. - Wait. [radio static] - [Robotic Voice] Affirmative. This is a Polaroid camera. Do you know how it works? [radio static] - I don't see anything. - What the heck is it-- [screams] - This is too much for just to take a picture. - Wait, does it automatically start? - There we go. Oh. [camera whirs] That just blinded me! - This is how they actually packaged in the '80's? Seriously? - Wait, maybe we open this. - I don't know how to. Back then, things were complicated. [camera pops open] [camera whirs] - It's not working. - I think you have to put it in water. [radio static] - I guess we put this all pictures in the water. - Wait, is that the water ones? - You're pointing it the wrong way. - No. [camera whirs] [pictures flicking] [groans] - My arm's getting tired. - This one is working, something's happening. - I actually think it's actually better so you don't have to like go to CVS, take the chip from your computer, put it in, and do that process. You just take it and then it already comes out. - Picture, [random noises] [flicks picture] [radio static] - [Robotic Voice] Can you identify this gadget? [radio static] - It looks like a CD player or a DJ turntable. - It looks like a clock radio player. - I knew it! [radio static] - [Robotic Voice] Affirmative. This is a record player. It was introduced as the Sound Burger by Audio-Technica. Can you find the vinyl record? [radio static] [mumbles] - [Girl] I don't think so. - It's so big for such a tiny thing. - It's a single. - [Boy] It's too big. [clicks] - How? Where do we plug this in? - Okay, I think we should turn it off. - I think you plug it in... - Right here. - The red one or the white one? - I bet it's right here. [white noise] - Oh, awful sound. - Oh! [music starts playing] [music stops playing] [music plays] [needle scratching sound] [laughs] - Um. - It's cool. - I would give this from one to ten, ten. - I'd rather listen to it, listen to music on the radio 'cause like, it's already chosen for you and you don't have to go through the whole process of putting the disc on. [radio static] - [Robotic Voice] Our last gadget is the Nintendo Entertainment System. Do you know how to play? - [Brother] I... Oh, something's not right. Why is it flashing? [TV static] [beeps] - Oh. [Overworld Theme plays] Why would anyone wanna make this? Can I try? - It was really good back then. [video game sounds] - Oh, these are bad graphics. I can go through the other side. - Newer graphics more look like movies. - Yeah. - When these ones sort of look blocky. - This is really bad game play. - In the newer games, you're able to go side to side, front and back. - It's just so flat. I don't know how you're supposed to enjoy this. This is not 3D at all. This controller is different than modern ones, because it's just a rectangle. - [Male] And it also has just two buttons. - How do you jump? - B. No, A. - There's no A! - Yeah. - That's R. - I just died. - My turn. - No. After this. - He never shares with electronics. - After this. This gun does not work good at all. - So it kind of makes a noise. [gun clatters] [radio static] Maybe it's the spring or... - I think it's the spring vibrating. [gun clatters] - Go up, go up, go up, go up! [8-bit music] [blows] [video game sounds] [radio static] [beeping] - I can't believe this is how I have to punch. [video game sounds] This... - Kind of weird, because-- - is not exciting at all. I have better things to do with my time, like play outside. [video game beeping] - [Robotic Voice] Game over.
